These are some of the most vibrant blue apatite stones that we source from Madagascar. There is some level of variability in the color, but nonetheless they are all exceptional quality stones. The coloration is often an intense ocean blue, but it isn’t uncommon to notice a greenish tinge to some pieces and a few stones may take on a more sky blue appearance. Since apatite is a relatively soft stone, it is a very challenging to tumble and polish. Some minor imperfections such as chips and fractures is regularly seen in material that hasn’t been stabilized with resins or stone sealers. Yet since these stones are all untreated with any synthetics they are much closer to their raw natural form, but still quite smooth to the touch.
