Garnet Raw Crystals (0.75-1.50 Inch - AA Grade - 16-32 Pieces Per Pound) Ethically Sourced from Brazil

This garnet is graded AA and contains a moderately translucent deep reddish-burgundy color and has little to no mineral deposits remaining on the surface of the stones. The first batches we got of this garnet were small, highly included, and often had large amounts of damage. However recent batches have been progressively becoming better and are a much higher quality as a result of both increased miner education to extract the crystals properly and exploring new deposits that are now yielding exceptional quality material. Now we are starting to regularly see larger crystals on average and they becoming much more gemmy-like in their appearance. The color and translucency in some pieces may closely resemble "AAA" grade garnet, especially if one desires to cut them for jewelry. The garnet is 100% natural and has not been drilled or tumbled.
