Selenite Raw Crystal Standing Slab Ethically Sourced from New Mexico

This selenite crystal is graded as "AAA" and is extremely transparent with little to no mineral deposits remaining, and occasional trapped water molecules may produce colorful rainbows which can be found when observing the crystal near a source of light.

A majority of "selenite" on the market is usually a form of gypsum called satin spar and is not a not true selenite. They key visual difference between the two is that satin spar is fibrous and often white or tan in appearance while real selenite tends to be highly transparent and lacks color other than the occasional mineral deposit. Suspiciously cheap selenite wands, spheres, and other polished items tend to come from Morocco using exploited child and bonded labor with little regard for ecological impacts of the mining process. This is extremely unfortunate to see the popularity of these types of items which contributes to human suffering and environmental destruction, and that such high demand for selenite products exacerbates this problem. We only source real authentic selenite mined in New Mexico from workers provided fair wages and produced using environmentally conscious methods. This selenite has been stream polished in water to soften the primary crystal faces and remove loose crystal chips. Otherwise this selenite is still very much in its raw form.
