These are some of the most beautiful black tourmaline clusters you will ever encounter. Some of the most sought after minerals in the world comes from Namibia, including black tourmaline. This variety of black tourmaline is often included with other minerals. Most commonly it contains a feldspar host rock which tends to be white or orange colored depending on the amount of iron present. However smoky quartz is often seen in association with this variety, and more rarely hyalite opal and aquamarine can be seen. Double terminated crystals are regularly encountered with this material. These specimens feature a highly intact crystal structure comprised of a variety of both large and small crystals. Some pieces may have hundreds or even thousands of tiny crystals compacted together. This is an exceptionally amazing specimen with a unique crystal formation that does not appear too often. Very rare and collectible material that always attracts a lot of attention.

Note: Black tourmaline clusters in their raw state can be somewhat unstable as the hardness across the stone varies. However this variety from Namibia features a highly intact and stable crystal structure. Yet it is always a best practice to be very gentle holding and moving tourmaline specimens to protect the delicate crystals.
