Rarely we come across gem and collector's grade material as the vast majority of these crystals go directly to the lapidaries for making cut gemstones and other polished products. During the lockdowns of 2020, many of the lapidaries we contract work with ceased operations. When they reopened many of their previous workers had moved on to other jobs in order to make an income to provide for themselves and their families. More often than not, the lapidaries were in financial trouble from not operating for several months, but had loads of valuable stones and crystals waiting to be worked. As a matter of urgency to assist with the lapidaries financial recovery and to keep their businesses going, top grade material that otherwise would have been worked and processed by the lapidaries were being made available for importers to purchase in large volumes. Now that most of the lapidaries have resumed regular operations, our chances of getting this type of material again is very slim especially considering this quality only represents a fraction of a percentage of the stones being mined.

While rose quartz is a somewhat abundant mineral, the vast majority of deposits lack translucency and are filled with mineral deposits like iron. These specimens have an incredible vibrant pink color containing a high level of translucency that is almost as clear as ice. In many pieces you can see areas with natural asterism which is an exceptionally valuable characteristic. With very few natural flaws and mineral deposits this is the ideal material to use for cutting gemstones and polishing into jewelry pieces. Each pound of material can easily yield hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of faceted gems or cabochons if one decides to work it. Or leave it in its raw state to appreciate the beauty of nature. Definitely an incredibly special find that would impress any serious mineral collector.

This raw rose quartz crystal is 100% natural and has never been dyed or heat treated.
