Spirit quartz is only known to occur in South Africa and is one of the most sought after and highly prized crystals from that region. While the first discovered deposits had an intense purple color, this is now exceptionally rare to find. Now the vast majority of cactus quartz crystals being mined are pale with little to no color, frequently show signs of damage, and often are being treated, dyed, or infused with metals to produce synthetic "aura" crystals in an attempt to make them more sellable. This amethyst spirit quartz is 100% natural and has never processed beyond our own eco-friendly methods of cleaning and polishing. Our specimens are sourced from miners who are highly educated and experienced on how to properly excavate the crystals in a way to minimize damage and protect the surrounding environment. Finding such high quality natural spirit crystals is a challenge in today's market where quantity over quality is typically emphasized by mining companies. Yet we are excited to offer these phenomenal high vibrational crystals that feature complex crystal formations and unique color variations that occasionally include small amounts of citrine and ametrine.
