Ethical sourcing is easy to claim and hard to prove. What we mean by it is specific. We know the country of origin for every piece. In most cases, we know the region and the supplier network. We ask about working conditions before we buy, and if we can't get a clear answer, we don't stock the material.
We disclose treatments. If a piece has been dyed, heated, irradiated, or coated, it's on the product page. No exceptions.
We work with artisan communities where we can, and pay fair rates instead of volume rates. Our margins are smaller because of it. That's a deliberate choice.
