Solar plexus chakra stones list

Manipura, the solar plexus chakra, is the third of the seven, located in the upper abdomen between navel and ribs. Its color is yellow and its element is fire, and the stones follow suit, gold, amber and flash.

1. Tiger eye. The anchor of this collection, from South Africa. Golden fibers run through it in parallel, and a band of light travels across them as the stone turns. Our raw pieces show the fiber structure plainly.
2. Golden healer. Quartz stained gold to amber by iron oxides that entered while the crystal grew. Ours is Brazilian, mostly raw.
3. Peridot. Gem olivine from Arizona, the one green stone on a yellow page. It forms deep in the mantle and rides basalt to the surface, the fire element made literal.
4. Yellow jasper. Opaque, mustard to ochre, from Madagascar. Dense in the hand, with a soft satin polish.
5. Fire quartz. Also sold as hematoid quartz. Madagascan clear quartz shot through with red and gold hematite clouds.
6. Ametrine. Amethyst and citrine sharing a single crystal, purple on one side and gold on the other. Nearly all of it comes from one Bolivian mine.

Solar plexus chakra blocked symptoms

This is the tradition's chakra of will, and when it's unsettled the descriptions circle one territory, knowing what you want and not quite acting on it.

• Decisions that should take a minute taking a week.
• Saying yes out loud while thinking no.
• Projects that stall at nearly finished, over and over.
• Deferring to the room even when you know the answer.
• A low hum of self-doubt with no particular cause.

The tradition treats these as energy talking. Anything that persists, and certainly anything physical in the stomach or gut, belongs with a doctor.

How to unblock the solar plexus chakra

Third chakra work is core and posture work, which makes it the most physical practice of the seven.

1. Stand tall for two full minutes, shoulders back, breathing into the belly rather than the chest. It sounds too simple to matter, and it isn't.
2. Lying down, set a stone on the upper abdomen, in the soft spot between navel and ribs, and stay with it through ten slow breaths.
3. Carry a tumbled tiger eye and run a thumb across it before conversations that need a spine.
4. Put something yellow where your day starts, a stone by the kettle, breakfast taken in actual morning light when you can.

The fire signs own this chakra in the tradition. Leo is the strongest match, with Aries and Sagittarius sharing the element and much of the stone list. On the ladder of seven, the sacral chakra sits one step below and the heart chakra one step above.

Wearing solar plexus chakra stones

Most of this collection wears well. Tiger eye, fire quartz, yellow jasper and ametrine all sit at 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, which handles daily bracelets and pendants, and tiger eye is at its best worn, since its band of light needs movement to perform. Peridot is fine in a pendant but earns gentler treatment in rings. The honey calcite hand stones in this collection are the outlier at 3, too soft for jewelry, better warming a palm or sitting on a desk.
