These are AA-grade Natural Citrine raw crystals from Minas Gerais, Brazil, sold by the piece or by the pound. Unheated citrine shows even golden color throughout the crystal, unlike the orange-tipped treated amethyst common on the market. Each piece runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 7, unheated and naturally colored. A favorite confidence stone for desks.
Most citrine on the market is actually heat-treated amethyst, which reads deep orange, almost burnt. Real natural citrine is softer, more of a honey or pale yellow, colored by trace iron at the time the quartz formed.
Minas Gerais is one of the few regions where natural citrine actually comes out of the ground. Hand-selected through our co-op partner.
Natural citrine is traditionally associated with confidence, creativity, and the solar plexus, the part of you that decides to start something. Many people work with it during stretches when they want a little more warmth and forward motion.

Natural Citrine sits at 7 on the Mohs scale, harder than a steel blade, so it handles daily carry and a quick rinse without fuss. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.

Each piece measures 1 to 2 inches on its longest side and weighs 10 to 50 grams. About 12 to 20 pieces per pound at this size, and each option shows its piece count.
Grades reflect visual quality within a batch. A is standard, with typical inclusions. AA shows stronger color, cleaner surfaces and tighter sizing. AAA is the top 10 to 15 percent of a batch. Every lot is inspected and graded by our team in Rockville, Maryland, not taken on the supplier’s word.
