They can focus sunlight and start a fire.
We're not doctors
Nothing we sell treats, cures, or diagnoses anything.
Children and pets
Stones are small, hard, and easy to swallow.
Our stones are decorative and collectible objects, not toys, and they are not intended for children. Keep them out of reach of children and pets. Adults are responsible for supervising anyone who handles them.
Choking hazard
Small stones, chips, and broken pieces can be swallowed or inhaled. Never let anyone put a stone in their mouth.
Handling and display
Natural edges are real edges.
Natural crystals often have sharp points and rough edges, and any stone can chip or break. Broken pieces can cut. Handle with care, check pieces for chips or cracks from time to time, and keep any chipped or cracked piece out of reach of children and pets.
Place large or heavy pieces on stable, level surfaces where they can't tip or fall.
Do not ingest
Nothing we sell is meant to be eaten, swallowed, or soaked in drinking water.
Never eat or swallow stones, and never put them in food, drinks, or water you plan to drink. Some minerals are toxic, and some dissolve in water.
Cutting, drilling, and polishing
This is lapidary work, and it needs lapidary equipment.
Please don't cut, drill, grind, sand, or polish our stones yourself. This work should only be done with proper lapidary equipment and protective gear. Every stone carries its own potential hazards when it's cut or polished, and the dust can be harmful to breathe.
Always wet, never dry
Cutting and polishing should always be done wet. Dry cutting puts mineral dust in the air. Wash your hands after handling raw stones.
Sunlight, heat, and water
Light and water change some stones, and clear stones can focus light.
- Fire risk. Clear spheres and polished pieces can focus sunlight and start a fire. Keep them out of direct sunlight, especially on windowsills.
- Fading. Some stones lose color in direct sunlight over time.
- Water. Some stones, like selenite, are damaged by water.
Jewelry with metal parts
Metals can react with skin.
Metal findings, chains, and settings can contain metals, such as nickel, that cause skin reactions in some people. If a piece irritates your skin, stop wearing it. Take jewelry off before sleeping, swimming, or any activity where it could catch or break.
Health and wellness
Crystals are objects, not medicine.
No health claims
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Nothing we sell is a medical device, drug, or treatment. Any traditional, cultural, or metaphysical association we mention is context, not a claim that a stone does anything. If you have a health concern, please talk to a qualified healthcare provider.
