What is prehnite good for?

In traditional crystal practice, prehnite is most commonly worked with for love, heart healing, and compassion. It's not medicine, and no stone will fix anything on its own. Think of it as a physical cue for a practice you're already building. The stone holds the attention, the practice does the work.

Where does your prehnite come from?

The prehnite we carry is sourced from Namibia. Every product page names the specific country of origin. If we can name the region or the mine, we do. If we can't verify it, we say so rather than guess.

How do I know your prehnite is real and not dyed?

Every piece of prehnite we sell is hand-graded and checked against known treatment patterns before it's listed. If a stone has been dyed, heated, irradiated, or coated in any way, we disclose it on the product page. Our sourcing goes through the Beyond Ethical supply network, which means we know who handled the rough before us. No mystery lots, no filler, no dyed stones passed off as natural.

How do I cleanse and care for prehnite?

Most people cleanse prehnite with sound (a bell or a singing bowl), smoke (sage, palo santo, cedar), moonlight overnight, or by placing it on a piece of selenite. Prehnite is moderately soft at 6.5 on the Mohs scale, so short water rinses are fine but avoid long soaks. How often is up to you. A weekly reset is a common rhythm, but there's no rule. The practice matters more than the schedule.

Prehnite

For the green, calming quiet you find in yourself after a long day.

InosilicateNamibia, Australia, South AfricaTreatment: Low risk

Prehnite is a pale apple-green calcium aluminum silicate mineral, often translucent and sometimes containing black tourmaline or epidote needle inclusions. Traditionally associated with heart-centered calm, emotional healing, and the quiet version of hope that sustains rather than spikes. Named after the Dutch colonel who first brought it from South Africa in 1788.
