Golden healer is a trade name for quartz tinted yellow to honey gold by iron oxides, either as a thin film on the faces or trapped inside as phantoms. It's sold mostly as raw points and clusters, with some polished into towers.

Before You Buy Golden Healer Quartz
Is golden healer a type of citrine?
No. Golden healer is a trade name for clear quartz tinted by iron oxides. Citrine's color is part of the crystal itself; quartz colored only by a coating or inclusions isn't counted as citrine.
Is the gold on the surface or inside?
It can be either, or both. Often it's a thin film of iron oxide on the faces; in other pieces it's trapped inside as phantoms, faint outlines of an earlier crystal. Color can be patchy, with clear quartz between.
Is the color natural or added?
Usually natural. The gold is an iron stain, the same kind of iron oxide found in rust. Quartz can also be given man-made coatings, like the metal film on aura quartz. We disclose all treatments on the product page.
Care
At 7 on the Mohs scale it's tough. Rinse it in plain water and dry it. Skip rust removers and acid cleaners, which can strip the iron oxide that gives it its gold.
