What is howlite good for?

In traditional crystal practice, howlite is most commonly worked with for intuition, clarity, and psychic. It's not medicine, and no stone will fix anything on its own. Think of it as a physical cue for a practice you're already building. The stone holds the attention, the practice does the work.

Where does your howlite come from?

Every piece of howlite in the catalog has its country of origin noted on the product page. Where we can name the region or the mine, we do. If we can't verify it, we say so rather than guess.

How do I know your howlite is real and not dyed?

Every piece of howlite we sell is hand-graded and checked against known treatment patterns before it's listed. If a stone has been dyed, heated, irradiated, or coated in any way, we disclose it on the product page. Our sourcing goes through the Beyond Ethical supply network, which means we know who handled the rough before us. No mystery lots, no filler, no dyed stones passed off as natural.

How do I cleanse and care for howlite?

Most people cleanse howlite with sound (a bell or a singing bowl), smoke (sage, palo santo, cedar), moonlight overnight, or by placing it on a piece of selenite. How often is up to you. A weekly reset is a common rhythm, but there's no rule. The practice matters more than the schedule.

Howlite

Stillness for a scattered mind.

Calcium borosilicate hydroxideZimbabwe & USATreatment: Rare (natural white)

Howlite is a soft white mineral with distinctive dark gray or black spider-web-like veining that appears throughout the stone. It forms in borax deposits and is found primarily in Zimbabwe and historically in California. The stone is naturally white and porous, and we do not treat or dye ours. Many people work with it for calm, patience, the release of overthinking, and the kind of mental stillness that comes with slowing down.
