The Crystal Guide

Crystals, told straight.

Every stone we carry, written with the time it deserves. Origin and geology first. Traditional associations and intentions, carefully named, second. Honest about what's known, and about what we can't say for sure. The guide we wish we'd had when we started.

i.
We name our origins where we can.
ii.
We disclose every treatment.
iii.
We don't sell what we wouldn't keep.
iv.
We say "we don't know" when we don't.

How we source

Good sourcing is a practice, not a claim.

Nothing in this guide is heat-treated, dyed, stabilized, or color-enhanced. We name our origins where we can. We say "we don't know" when we can't. We walk away from products that don't meet our standard, even when it costs us sales.

What's in every guide

Each stone, written to the same standard.

No shortcuts when you click through. Every guide page is built from the same six things, in the same order, so you always know what you're getting.

i.
Origin & supplier
Where the material is mined, and who we work with on the ground.
ii.
Geology & formation
What the stone actually is. Mineral group, hardness, how it forms.
iii.
Treatment disclosure
Whether the stone is heated, dyed, stabilized, or untouched. Always stated.
iv.
Honest sizing
Real measurements, real weight, with a hand for scale where it helps.
v.
Traditional associations
What people have worked with this stone for, named for what it is: long-standing tradition.
vi.
Care & cleansing
How to look after it, and which methods to skip for this particular stone.
