Beyond Ethical is the standard we hold the whole catalog to. Every product page names the country of origin, and the region or the mine when we can verify it. Treatments are disclosed. We buy from small-scale miners, family diggers, and worker-owned cooperatives rather than anonymous bulk lots. When we cannot verify something, we say so instead of guessing.

Are all of your crystals ethically sourced?

The crystal trade has no governing body, no certification, and no legal definition of the word ethical, so the label on its own means very little. What we can give you is our work. Some supply chains we can trace closely. Others we can only trace partway, and we tell you that on the page rather than smoothing over the gap.

How do I know a stone has not been dyed or treated?

Every piece is inspected and hand-graded before it goes up. Heat, dye, irradiation, coating, and stabilization are all common in this industry. Treatments are not unethical when they are disclosed. Hidden treatments are. If a stone has been treated, it says so on the product page.

Our stones come from a network of small-scale miners, family diggers, and worker-owned cooperatives. Origins in the catalog include Brazil, Uruguay, Madagascar, Zambia, and Peru, among others. Every product page names the country the piece came from, with the region or mine listed where we can verify it.

Do you run sales or discount codes?

No. We do not run store-wide sales or seasonal discounts. Pricing reflects what a piece costs to source responsibly, and discounting it later would mean either the first price was inflated or someone upstream absorbs the cut. We would rather price it honestly once.
