Throat chakra stones list

The throat chakra, Vishuddha in Sanskrit, is the fifth of the seven, located at the throat. Its color is blue, its element is space, and the stones here run milky opal blue to ink dark kyanite.

1. Andean blue opal. Milky, sea glass blue common opal from Peru, tumbled smooth. It holds one soft color rather than flashing, and at 5.5 to 6.5 it asks for gentler handling than the quartzes.
2. Blue lace agate. Pale blue with fine white banding, from Malawi, where nearly all of the world's supply is mined.
3. Sodalite. Royal blue cut with white calcite veins, from Brazil. It gets mistaken for lapis, but there's no pyrite glitter in it.
4. Amazonite. A blue green feldspar from Madagascar. The color comes from traces of lead sitting in the crystal structure.
5. Aquamarine. Pale glassy blue beryl from Brazil, the same mineral species as emerald, and at 7.5 to 8 the hardest stone in this collection.
6. Blue kyanite. Long striated blades from Brazil. Kyanite measures 4.5 along the blade and nearly 7 across it.

Throat chakra blocked symptoms

The tradition reads an unsettled throat chakra in the gap between what you think and what you say.

• Swallowing your point in the meeting, then delivering it perfectly to the windshield on the drive home.
• A voice that tightens or drops exactly when the topic matters most.
• Feeling unheard by people who genuinely want to hear you.
• Singing only when the house is empty.

Plain speech, as promised: a hoarse voice or sore throat that won't leave is a doctor's question, not a stone's.

How to unblock the throat chakra

Every practice here uses the voice, because that's what Vishuddha is for.

1. Hum, or read a page of anything aloud. Two or three minutes, low and unhurried. The vibration lands exactly where this chakra sits.
2. Lie down and rest a flat stone, blue lace agate is the usual choice, at the base of the throat for ten quiet minutes.
3. Keep a tumbled stone in your pocket and hold it for one breath before you say the hard thing. The pause does as much work as the mineral.
4. Put blue at your collar, a scarf, a necklace, a shirt. The tradition counts wearing a chakra's color at its location as practice in itself.

Gemini is the sign the tradition ties most tightly to this chakra, the zodiac's talker, with Virgo for precision and Aquarius for saying the unpopular thing early. Wearing throat chakra stones

This is the one chakra a necklace sits directly on, a pendant at the collarbone rests within an inch of where the tradition places Vishuddha. Aquamarine at 7.5 to 8 and amazonite at 6 to 6.5 take daily wear comfortably. Sodalite, at 5.5 to 6, picks up scratches when it shares a bracelet with quartz beads, and blue kyanite splits along its blades, so it suits a free-hanging pendant better than a ring that takes knocks. Keep Andean blue opal for the pocket or the shelf, soft enough that soap and grit slowly dull its polish.
