Read our Sourcing Standards →These are A-grade Larimar raw stones from Barahona Province, Dominican Republic, sold by the piece or by the pound. Larimar is a blue pectolite mined commercially in only this corner of the island, sea-blue marbled with white. Each piece runs 0.50 to 1 inch at Mohs 4.5-5. Hand-finished with jojoba oil, bought directly at the source. A favorite stress relief stone for crystal grids.
Larimar is part of the silicate family.
Larimar was officially identified as a gemstone in 1974, though locals had known of it for centuries.
Our raw pieces are sourced from Barahona Province, Dominican Republic. Worth knowing: a lot of the larimar on the market is heat-treated and coated. Ours is neither. It is finished with natural jojoba oil, which deepens the color already in the stone without adding any.
In crystal traditions, larimar is often associated with quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and opening to connection, with yourself and others. It's traditionally linked to the throat and heart chakras. If that resonates, keep one in your pocket on days you know you'll need to speak up. Work with it the way that fits your own practice.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
A starting place for your own quiet practice.
