These are A-grade Larimar raw stones from Barahona Province, Dominican Republic, sold by the piece or by the pound. Larimar is a rare blue pectolite found only in this one region on Earth, sea-blue with white veining. Each piece runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 4.5-5, bought directly at the source. A favorite emotional healing stone for bedside tables.

Larimar was officially identified as a gemstone in 1974, though locals had known of it for centuries.
Our raw pieces are sourced from Barahona Province, Dominican Republic. Worth knowing: a lot of the larimar on the market is heat-treated and coated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
In crystal traditions, larimar is often associated with quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and opening to connection, with yourself and others. Larimar sits at 4.5-5 on the Mohs scale, soft enough to scratch with a knife, so keep it dry and store it on its own. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.

Each piece measures 1 to 2 inches on its longest side and weighs 20 to 50 grams. About 12 to 20 pieces per pound at this size, and each option shows its piece count.
Grade A. Soft sea-blue with natural white pectolite veining, raw form with some surface texture. Grades reflect visual quality within a batch. A is standard, with typical inclusions. AA shows stronger color, cleaner surfaces and tighter sizing. AAA is the top 10 to 15 percent of a batch. Every lot is inspected and graded by our team in Rockville, Maryland, not taken on the supplier’s word.
