How do I know your petrified wood is real and not dyed?

Every piece of petrified wood we sell is hand-graded and checked against known treatment patterns before it's listed. How do I cleanse and care for petrified wood?

Most people cleanse petrified wood with sound (a bell or a singing bowl), smoke (sage, palo santo, cedar), moonlight overnight, or by placing it on a piece of selenite. Petrified Wood is moderately soft at 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale, so short water rinses are fine but avoid long soaks. How often is up to you. A weekly reset is a common rhythm, but there's no rule. The practice matters more than the schedule.
