Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate in translucent apple green, often grown in grape-like botryoidal crusts. Each piece runs 1-1.50 inches at Mohs 6.5, fully natural and untreated. A favorite meditation stone for meditation spaces.
Prehnite is part of the silicate - inosilicate family.
These tumbled stones come from Erongo, Namibia.
Named after Dutch mineralogist Hendrik von Prehn.
Prehnite has long been used in practices around gentle, patient care for yourself, a simple anchor during practice, and working through difficult feelings at your own pace. It's traditionally linked to the heart and solar plexus chakras. If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. There's no single right way to carry it.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
A starting place for your own quiet practice.
