These are AA-grade Fire Quartz polished hearts from Alaotra-Mangoro, Madagascar. Fire Quartz, also called Hematoid Quartz, is clear quartz threaded with red and rust hematite inclusions. Each heart runs 1.00-1.50 inches at Mohs 7, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite confidence stone for desks and gifting.
Fire quartz is clear or smoky quartz threaded with hematite inclusions that look like flame or streaks of rust inside the crystal. The inclusions make every piece different.
Our hearts are sourced from Alaotra-Mangoro, Madagascar. Worth knowing: a lot of the fire quartz on the market is heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
Fire quartz has long been used in practices around staying connected to your body and the moment, settling into who you already are, and coming back to the task in front of you. It's traditionally linked to the root and solar plexus chakras. If that resonates, set one on the floor near where you sit to read or work. There's no single right way to carry it.

Fire Quartz sits at 7 on the Mohs scale, harder than a steel blade, so it handles daily carry and a quick rinse without fuss. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
