Where does it come from?

Anahi mine, Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia. This is the only commercial source of natural ametrine in the world.

Grade AA. Clear purple and yellow zoning visible on most pieces, natural raw form.

Untreated. Anahi material is sold natural and unenhanced. Most heat-treated quartz sold as 'citrine' comes from elsewhere, not from this mine.

What is it traditionally used for?

Many people work with ametrine for balance between thinking and action. It is associated with the solar plexus and third eye chakras.

How should I care for it?

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid long direct sun, which can fade the citrine zones over time.

What does a crystal grade (A, AA, or AAA) actually mean?

Crystal grades reflect visual quality within a single batch. Grade A is standard quality with typical inclusions. Grade AA shows stronger color saturation, cleaner surface, and tighter sizing. Grade AAA represents the top 10 to 15 percent of any batch: exceptional clarity, consistent color, and minimal surface variation.
