About This Ametrine

Ametrine is part of the quartz family.

The mine was lost for centuries before being rediscovered in the 1960s.

Our raw pieces are sourced from Ángel Sandoval Province, Bolivia.

Traditionally Used For

Ametrine has long been used in practices around coming back to the task in front of you, clarifying what you actually want, and settling into who you already are. It's traditionally linked to the solar plexus and third eye chakras. If that resonates, set one on your desk where you can see it during meetings or tough conversations. There's no single right way to carry it.

Is this real ametrine, and is it heated, dyed or treated?

Natural ametrine from Ángel Sandoval Province, Bolivia. Untreated. Anahi material is sold natural and unenhanced. Most heat-treated quartz sold as 'citrine' comes from elsewhere, not from this mine.

Will I get the exact pieces in the photos?

You'll receive pieces from the same batch photographed, weighed to the amount you choose. Every piece passes our quality control and meets or exceeds what you see in the photos. Single specimens are listed separately and say so.

What size are the pieces, and how many are in a pound?

Each piece measures 1 to 2 inches on its longest side and weighs 20 to 50 grams. About 12 to 20 pieces per pound at this size, and each option shows its piece count.

What does AA grade mean?

Grade AA. Clear purple and yellow zoning visible on most pieces, natural raw form. Grades reflect visual quality within a batch. A is standard, with typical inclusions. AA shows stronger color, cleaner surfaces and tighter sizing. AAA is the top 10 to 15 percent of a batch. Every lot is inspected and graded by our team in Rockville, Maryland, not taken on the supplier’s word.
