Beyond Bohemian is a small, ethical crystal and stone business in Rockville, Maryland. We work with named producers, share our sourcing openly, and grow carefully. We’re hiring a part-time Shipping & Inventory Assistant to keep orders moving and inventory organized.


Shipping & Inventory Assistant

Rockville, MD · In Person · Part-Time

Pay: $20/hr to start. Up to $22.50/hr after a successful trial and consistent strong performance.

Hours: 10 to 20 hours per week, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We’ll build the schedule around your availability.

Start Date: As soon as we find the right fit.

The Work

  • Pull and pack orders carefully, with attention to fragile pieces

  • Receive incoming shipments, count against invoices, unbox, and shelve

  • Refill, label, and reorganize inventory as it moves

  • Keep the studio clean and orderly

  • Prep stones for product photography

  • Help occasionally with local pickups or short customer messages

Crystal experience isn’t required. If you’re curious, we’ll teach you.

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable and on time

  • Comfortable working independently once trained

  • Detail-focused, especially with fragile items and small inventory counts

  • Steady at repetitive, hands-on work

  • Mix of standing and sitting through the day (about 70/30)

  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs occasionally during shipment days

Nice to Have

  • Past experience with packing, shipping, warehouse, or retail back-of-house work

  • Comfort with everyday digital tools (Google Drive, iOS; Shopify a plus, not required)

  • Coursework or background in psychology, human development, sustainability, or earth sciences

  • Genuine interest in crystals, ethical sourcing, or small-business work

Pay & Growth

  • $20/hr to start, up to $22.50/hr after the trial period for the right person

  • Paid weekly through standard payroll (W-2 employee)

Paid Trial

We offer a paid trial of up to 20 hours at $20/hr. A low-pressure way for both sides to see if the work and the rhythm fit before committing further.
