The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, sits at the top of the head. It's the seventh and last of the seven chakras in the traditional system, and gets associated with clarity, spirituality, and the sense of being connected to something larger.
The stones worked with for the crown are usually clear, white, or light purple. Clear quartz, selenite, amethyst, white howlite, and clear topaz are the most common. Selenite (ours is from New Mexico) is particularly popular for crown work because of its cool, light, almost weightless feel.
Crown practice is usually quiet. A stone on the crown during rest. A sphere or tower in the meditation space. A palm piece held for a few slow breaths.
