Read our Sourcing Standards →Celestite grows in delicate sky-blue crystals, usually inside a geode. The color is unmistakable and the crystals are soft, which is why most of the pieces we carry come from geodes where the crystals are protected. Its name comes from Latin 'caelestis' meaning 'heavenly.' Most commercial celestite comes as distinctive blue crystal geodes from Madagascar.
Sourced directly from Sakoany, Madagascar. At 3-3.5 on the Mohs scale, it's on the softer end. Keep it away from water and store it separately from harder pieces.
In the tradition, celestite shows up most often around quiet, steady calm, winding down and settling into rest, and a simple anchor during practice. It's traditionally linked to the throat and crown chakras. If that resonates, hold it for a few breaths before a conversation that matters. Trust what feels useful and leave the rest.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
