Chocolate Calcite is part of the calcite family.
We bring these tumbled stones in from Junín, Peru. Worth knowing: a lot of the chocolate calcite on the market is dyed. What we carry is natural and untreated.
This is a softer mineral (3 Mohs). Dry storage, gentle handling, and don't let it knock around with quartz or tourmaline.
The word calcite comes from Latin 'calx' meaning lime.
In crystal traditions, chocolate calcite is often associated with staying connected to your body and the moment, quiet, steady calm, and gentle, patient care for yourself.
