This piece comes from Ancash, Peru. This is a softer mineral (3 Mohs). Dry storage, gentle handling, and don't let it knock around with quartz or tourmaline. Worth knowing: a lot of the honey calcite on the market is dyed and heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
