This is an AA-grade Bloodstone specimen from Hhohho, Eswatini. Bloodstone, also called heliotrope, is a dark green chalcedony scattered with red iron oxide flecks. This piece measures 5.19 x 2.85 x 2.53 inches at Mohs 6.5-7, fully natural and untreated. A favorite grounding stone for collectors and display shelves.
Bloodstone is a dark green chalcedony dotted with red iron oxide inclusions that look like drops of blood on moss. The name is old, and so is the stone's reputation as a working-person's talisman.
