Is this emerald oiled or treated?

Specimen-grade and raw crystal emerald is generally not oiled. Oiling is a treatment for cut and polished emerald gemstones to improve clarity. The raw form you'll receive is in its natural state.

What does AA grade mean here?

Color and crystal definition. AA-grade emerald specimens show clear green color and recognizable hexagonal crystal form. AAA would mean transparency suitable for facet cutting, which is significantly more expensive.

Where exactly in Zimbabwe is the source?

Most commercial Zimbabwean emerald comes from the Sandawana area in the country's southern region. The mine has had complicated ownership history, so supply availability shifts year to year.
