This is an AA-grade Rose Quartz raw crystal specimen from Alaotra-Mangoro, Madagascar. Rose quartz color comes from trace titanium, iron, and manganese, and raw specimens keep the stone's natural vein-broken surfaces. This piece measures 4.25 x 2.50 x 4.25 inches at Mohs 7, fully natural and undyed. A favorite love stone for meditation spaces.
Rose quartz is the softest pink in the quartz family. Not a bright pink, more like the color of a cloud at sunrise, sometimes translucent, sometimes cloudy, always warm to look at.
Ancient Romans and Egyptians used rose quartz facial masks, believing it would prevent wrinkles and keep skin clear.
