These are AA-grade Orange Calcite raw crystals from Erongo, Namibia, sold by the piece or by the pound. Orange calcite is a calcium carbonate warmed to amber by iron impurities, translucent enough to catch light along its cleavage faces. Each piece runs 1.50-3 inches at Mohs 2.5-3, bought directly at the source. A favorite creativity stone for desks and display shelves.

These raw pieces come from Erongo, Namibia. It's soft (Mohs 2.5-3), so handle it with a little care, keep it dry, and store it in its own pouch so harder stones don't scratch it. Worth knowing: a lot of the orange calcite on the market is dyed. What we carry is natural and untreated.
