These are A-grade Orange Calcite raw crystals from Betsiboka, Madagascar, sold by the piece or by the pound. Calcite is calcium carbonate, and iron impurities give this variety its warm orange-to-amber glow. Each piece runs 1-2 inches at a soft Mohs 2.5-3, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite creativity stone for desks.

This piece comes from Betsiboka, Madagascar. This is a softer mineral (2.5-3 Mohs). Dry storage, gentle handling, and don't let it knock around with quartz or tourmaline. Worth knowing: a lot of the orange calcite on the market is dyed. What we carry is natural and untreated.
