This is a set of four AA-grade Clear Quartz coasters from Minas Gerais, Brazil, cut from natural rock crystal and polished flat on both faces. Each coaster is about 4 to 4.5 inches across with four clear grip bumpers underneath, and the set weighs roughly 800 to 1000 grams at Mohs 7. Natural, sold only as a set of four.
Clear quartz is pure crystalline quartz, silicon dioxide, ranging from water-clear to softly veiled with internal fractures that throw rainbows in the light. Cut into flat rounds and polished, it reads bright and clean on a table or bar top.
These coasters come from a cooperative in Minas Gerais, Brazil, one of the world's great quartz regions. Each of the four is polished smooth on both faces and fitted with four small clear bumpers underneath so it protects your surface and stays put.
