These are AA-grade Amethyst raw crystal clusters from Artigas, Uruguay, sold by the piece or by the pound. Uruguayan amethyst from Artigas is known for deep grape purple, darker on average than most Brazilian material. Each cluster runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 7, bought directly at the source. A favorite meditation stone for display shelves.

Amethyst has the kind of purple that draws you in without trying. Some pieces are pale lavender, others are deep violet, and the best ones catch light through the crystal structure so they seem to glow from the inside.
These clusters come from Artigas, Uruguay. Worth knowing: a lot of the amethyst on the market is heat-treated and irradiated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
From Greek 'a-methystos' meaning 'not drunk', ancient Greeks believed amethyst prevented intoxication and carved drinking vessels from it.
Those who work with amethyst often turn to it for quiet, steady calm, winding down and settling into rest, and a simple anchor during practice. It's traditionally linked to the third eye and crown chakras. If that resonates, set it in front of you during meditation or quiet reflection. How you use it is up to you.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
A starting place for your own quiet practice.
