These are AA-grade Amethyst raw crystal points from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, sold by the piece or by the pound. Each point keeps its natural termination and often a little pale matrix at the base. Pieces run 0.75-1.50 inches at Mohs 7, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite meditation stone for bedside tables.
Amethyst has the kind of purple that draws you in without trying. Some pieces are pale lavender, others are deep violet, and the best ones catch light through the crystal structure so they seem to glow from the inside.
These points come from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Worth knowing: a lot of the amethyst on the market is heat-treated and irradiated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
From Greek 'a-methystos' meaning 'not drunk', ancient Greeks believed amethyst prevented intoxication and carved drinking vessels from it.
Those who work with amethyst often turn to it for quiet, steady calm, winding down and settling into rest, and a simple anchor during practice. It's traditionally linked to the third eye and crown chakras. If that resonates, set it in front of you during meditation or quiet reflection. How you use it is up to you.

Amethyst sits at 7 on the Mohs scale, harder than a steel blade, so it handles daily carry and a quick rinse without fuss. The one thing that hurts it is sunlight: months in a bright window will fade the color, and it does not come back.

AA shows stronger color, cleaner surfaces and tighter sizing. AAA is the top 10 to 15 percent of a batch. Every lot is inspected and graded by our team in Rockville, Maryland, not taken on the supplier’s word.
