These are AAA-grade Aquamarine tumbled stones from Minas Gerais, Brazil, sold by the piece or by the pound. Aquamarine is beryl tinted pale sky blue to teal by trace iron, the same family as emerald. Each piece runs 0.75-1.25 inches at Mohs 7.5-8, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite stress relief stone for gifting.
Aquamarine is the pale blue variety of beryl, same family as emerald. The color runs from nearly colorless to a soft sea blue, and the best pieces have the transparency of shallow water.
We bring these tumbled stones in from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Worth knowing: a lot of the aquamarine on the market is heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
