Read our Sourcing Standards →Blue Calcite is a calcite (carbonate).
This piece comes from Erongo, Namibia. This is a softer mineral (3 Mohs). Dry storage, gentle handling, and don't let it knock around with quartz or tourmaline. Worth knowing: a lot of the blue calcite on the market is dyed and heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
Calcite varieties have been valued since ancient times.
In the tradition, blue calcite shows up most often around quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and winding down and settling into rest. It's traditionally linked to the throat chakra. If that resonates, hold it for a few breaths before a conversation that matters. Trust what feels useful and leave the rest.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
