These are AA-grade Blue Calcite raw stones from Erongo, Namibia, sold by the piece or by the pound. Calcite is a calcium carbonate; the blue variety carries a soft, pastel translucency and cleaves along smooth rhombic faces. Each piece runs 0.50-1.50 inches at Mohs 3, bought directly at the source. A favorite stress relief stone for bedside tables.

This piece comes from Erongo, Namibia. This is a softer mineral (3 Mohs). Dry storage, gentle handling, and don't let it knock around with quartz or tourmaline. Worth knowing: a lot of the blue calcite on the market is dyed and heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.

In the tradition, blue calcite shows up most often around quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and winding down and settling into rest.
