These are AA-grade Blue Kyanite raw crystal blades from Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe, sold by the piece or by the pound. Kyanite is an aluminum silicate that grows in flat blades, with hardness that varies by direction across the crystal. Each blade runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 5-7, sourced through our artisan network. A favorite focus stone for meditation spaces.
Blue kyanite grows in long bladed crystals that split cleanly along one direction and resist splitting the other. The color ranges from pale sky to deep denim. It's one of the few stones that polishes well while keeping its raw, fibrous feel.
These raw pieces come from Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe.
Named from the Greek 'kyanos' meaning 'dark blue.' Valued by healers and metaphysical practitioners worldwide for alignment and communication work.
Blue kyanite has long been used in practices around settling into who you already are, a simple anchor during practice, and listening to the quieter signals. It's traditionally linked to the throat and third eye chakras. If that resonates, hold it for a few breaths before a conversation that matters. There's no single right way to carry it.
These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
A starting place for your own quiet practice.
