About This Dendritic Agate

Dendritic Agate is a chalcedony (quartz variety).

It is one of the most diverse and widely collected mineral groups, with dozens of named varieties based on color, pattern, and origin.

Hand-selected from Boeny, Madagascar. Worth knowing: a lot of the dendritic agate on the market is dyed. What we carry is natural and untreated.

Traditionally Used For

Dendritic agate is traditionally a stone for staying connected to your body and the moment, gentle, patient care for yourself, and working through difficult feelings at your own pace. It's traditionally linked to the heart and root chakras. If that resonates, keep it nearby during quiet moments or by the bed for rest. Let it become part of your own quiet routine.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Low

Dendritic Agate sits at 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
