These are AA-grade Fire Quartz palm stones from Alaotra-Mangoro, Madagascar. Hematite inclusions paint red and rust clouds through the quartz, which is why it also trades as Hematoid Quartz. Each palm stone runs 1.50-3 inches at Mohs 7, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite focus stone for desks and pockets.
Fire quartz is clear or smoky quartz threaded with hematite inclusions that look like flame or streaks of rust inside the crystal. The inclusions make every piece different.
We bring these palm stones in from Alaotra-Mangoro, Madagascar. Worth knowing: a lot of the fire quartz on the market is heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.

Fire Quartz sits at 7 on the Mohs scale, harder than a steel blade, so it handles daily carry and a quick rinse without fuss. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
