These are AA-grade Fluorite tumbled stones from Jiangxi, China, sold by the piece or by the pound. Fluorite often carries several colors in one stone, purple, green, and clear zones stacked in bands. Each piece runs 0.75-1.25 inches at a soft Mohs 4, fully natural and untreated. A favorite focus stone for study desks.
Fluorite comes in almost every color, often banded together in a single piece, green, purple, blue, clear. It's soft enough to carve, which is why you'll see so many fluorite shapes on the market. The color bands are the whole story.
The phenomenon of fluorescence was named after fluorite.

Fluorite has long been used in practices around coming back to the task in front of you, a simple anchor during practice, and cleansing. It's traditionally linked to the third eye and crown chakras. If that resonates, place one on a nightstand or on an altar where you sit. There's no single right way to carry it.

Fluorite sits at 4 on the Mohs scale, soft enough to scratch with a knife, so keep it dry and store it on its own. The one thing that hurts it is sunlight: months in a bright window will fade the color, and it does not come back.

AA Grade indicates vibrant, well-defined color banding or zoning, high translucency, and clean tumble polish. The best pieces show multiple distinct color zones visible when held to light. Grades reflect visual quality within a batch. A is standard, with typical inclusions. AA shows stronger color, cleaner surfaces and tighter sizing. AAA is the top 10 to 15 percent of a batch. Every lot is inspected and graded by our team in Rockville, Maryland, not taken on the supplier’s word.
