These are AA-grade Rainbow Obsidian tumbled stones from Jalisco, Mexico, sold by the piece or by the pound. Tilt one under light and layered magnetite inclusions inside the volcanic glass release bands of color. Each piece runs 0.75-1.25 inches at Mohs 5-5.5, fully natural and untreated. A favorite protection stone for pockets.

Rainbow obsidian has long been used in practices around working through difficult feelings at your own pace, opening to connection, with yourself and others, and a sense of groundedness when things feel uncertain. It's traditionally linked to the root and heart chakras. If that resonates, keep a piece in your pocket during the day for a steadying presence. There's no single right way to carry it.

Rainbow Obsidian sits at 5-5.5 on the Mohs scale, soft enough to scratch with a knife, so keep it dry and store it on its own. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.
