These are AA-grade Red Jasper tumbled stones from Sofia, Madagascar, sold by the piece or by the pound. Red Jasper is an opaque microcrystalline quartz colored brick red by hematite content. Each piece runs 0.75-1.25 inches at Mohs 7, sourced through a community partnership. A favorite grounding stone for pockets.
Red jasper is a deep brick-red chalcedony, sometimes with dark matrix veins running through it. It's opaque, evenly colored, and takes a polish that reads almost like glass.
