These are AA-grade Red Jasper tumbled stones from Northern Cape, South Africa, sold by the piece or by the pound. Red jasper is opaque microcrystalline quartz, its brick-red color coming from fine hematite inclusions. Each piece runs 1-1.50 inches at Mohs 7, fully natural and untreated. A favorite grounding stone for pockets.
Red jasper is a deep brick-red chalcedony, sometimes with dark matrix veins running through it. It's opaque, evenly colored, and takes a polish that reads almost like glass.
