These are A-grade Smoky Amethyst raw crystal points from Masvingo, Zimbabwe, sold by the piece or by the pound. Smoky amethyst is quartz showing both purple and smoky brown zones in one crystal, the result of overlapping growth conditions. Each point runs 1-2 inches at Mohs 7, sourced through our artisan network. A favorite grounding stone for meditation spaces.

These points come from Masvingo, Zimbabwe. Worth knowing: a lot of the smoky amethyst on the market is heat-treated and irradiated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
From Greek 'a-methystos' meaning 'not drunk', ancient Greeks believed amethyst prevented intoxication and carved drinking vessels from it.
