These are A-grade White Opal raw stones from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, sold by the piece or by the pound. White opal is hydrated silica, milky and opaque, the most approachable opal variety in rough form. Each piece runs 1.50-3 inches at Mohs 6, fully natural and untreated. A favorite intuition stone for quiet meditation corners.

White Opal sits at 6 on the Mohs scale, about as hard as glass, so it handles daily use but will scratch against harder stones. Long soaks dull the surface, so keep any water contact brief and dry it fully.
