About This Clear Quartz

Clear quartz is silicon dioxide in its plainest form, running from water-clear through frosted milky white depending on how fast it grew and what it trapped along the way.

These diffusers are cut from solid blocks sourced in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The outside is left rough exactly as the stone broke, which is what gives each one its own silhouette, and the inside is hollowed to take a removable plastic tube.

Quartz suits this job for a practical reason. It is hard, chemically stable at Mohs 7, and heavy enough that a stone this size will not tip when the reeds lean.

Traditionally Used For

Clear quartz has long been used in practices around cleansing, clarity, and setting a simple intention. It is linked to the crown chakra and often called a programmable stone.

As a diffuser it sits somewhere you notice a scent change in a room, which is its own kind of reset. There is no single right way to use it.

These are traditional associations drawn from historical practice. This stone is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Care and Use

Sensitivity Low

Clear Quartz sits at 7 on the Mohs scale, harder than a steel blade, so it handles daily carry and a quick rinse without fuss. Keep chemical cleaners away from it; they can etch the surface.

Do

  • Pour Diffuser Oil Into The Plastic Tube, Not The Stone
  • Wipe Any Spills From The Stone Promptly
  • Flip The Reeds Every Week Or Two To Refresh The Scent
  • Wipe With A Soft Dry Cloth
  • Stable Room Temperature

Avoid

  • Harsh Chemical Cleaners
  • Overfilling The Tube
  • Dropping On Hard Floors

Traditional practice: cleanse with smoke, sound, breath or intention; charge under moonlight or intention. Offered as tradition, not instruction.
