These are A-grade Lemurian Quartz raw crystal points from Minas Gerais, Brazil, sold by the piece or pound. Lemurian quartz is identified by horizontal ladder-like striations, natural growth marks rather than carving. This batch runs 0.50 to 1.50 inches, 2 to 10 grams per point, Mohs 7, 48-72 pieces per pound. A grade means good transparency, some pieces lightly fractured. Jojoba-finished, otherwise natural and untreated.
Lemurian quartz looks like ordinary clear quartz until you run a fingertip down the side. The signature ladder-like striations cross one or more faces, sometimes faint, sometimes sharp, always horizontal. They are natural growth marks, not carving or tooling.
