This is a set of four AA-grade Rose Quartz coasters from Minas Gerais, Brazil, cut from natural pink quartz and polished flat on both faces. Each coaster is about 4 to 4.5 inches across with four clear grip bumpers underneath, and the set weighs roughly 800 to 1000 grams at Mohs 7. Natural, sold only as a set of four.
Rose quartz is the soft pink member of the quartz family, colored by trace titanium, iron, and manganese in the crystal lattice. Cut into flat rounds and polished, its cloudy pink glow and internal veils show beautifully against a table or bar top.
These coasters come from a cooperative in Minas Gerais, Brazil, one of the world's great quartz regions. Each of the four is polished smooth on both faces and fitted with four small clear bumpers underneath so it protects your surface and stays put.
Rose quartz has been carried and kept for love and warmth for centuries, and a set like this brings a little of that into everyday use.
