Blue Calcite is a calcite (carbonate). Calcite varieties have been valued since ancient times.
Sourced directly from Erongo, Namibia. At 3 on the Mohs scale, it's on the softer end. Keep it away from water and store it separately from harder pieces. Worth knowing: a lot of the blue calcite on the market is dyed and heat-treated. What we carry is natural and untreated.
In crystal traditions, blue calcite is often associated with quiet, steady calm, working through difficult feelings at your own pace, and winding down and settling into rest. It's traditionally linked to the throat chakra. If that resonates, hold it for a few breaths before a conversation that matters. Work with it the way that fits your own practice.
